HISTORY

 

Ramco Private Industrial Training Institute is one among the several Educational / Technical Institutions run by P.A.C. RAMASAMY RAJA EDUCATION CHARITY TRUST, which was established in 1950 by Shri P.A.C. Ramasamy Raja, a well-known Industrialist and Philanthropist of Rajapalayam. He established a number of Primary Schools and Higher Secondary Schools during his life time. Owing to his sincere efforts, a little undeveloped village of Rajapalayam grew into a teaming Municipal Town humming with Industrial activities providing comfort and care for thousands of families.


 

Shri P.R. Ramasubrahmaneya Rajha, Former Chairman of RAMCO Group of Companies and the Managing Trustee, expanded the industrial activities and educational service by starting a Polytechnic College and many primary and higher secondary schools. More than 11000 pupils are studying in these educational institutions and an Engineering College in the name of Ramco Institute of Technology was also started with high standard education. To commemorate the birth centenary of his Father and Founder Shri P.A.C. Ramasamy Raja, our beloved Chairman has established the RAMCO Industrial Training Institute in 1993 with a prime objective to impart training and technical skills to the children of worker's of this locality.

This training institute is under the control of the Director General of Employment and Training, New Delhi, Government of India and Over all management of the institution is vested with the Governing council under the able leadership of Shri.P.R.VENKETRAMA RAJA, chairman Ramco group of Industries.

INSTITUTE LOCATION AND CAMPUS

This Training Institute is located in the vast Educational Complex of the Trust in Kumarasamy Raja Nagar, Rajapalayam. It is the largest Industrial Training Institute of Virudhunagar District in Tamil Nadu. It is created as an Institute of Excellence for higher training and skill development in Engineering in Tamil Nadu State. The campus is imaginatively laid out with a beautiful landscape in serene atmosphere. It presents a spectacle of harmony in architecture and natural beauty.

 

This Training Institute has an imposing administrative block and 8 large labs cum workshops. Our Trust has constructed these buildings and provided all the modern equipment for various trades in order to enhance knowledge and skills of students, at an investment of more than Rs.3.00 crores. Well-equipped labs, workshops and spacious class rooms ensure effective training. The campus houses a public Telephone booth and sports centre.
